5 Types of Moss

I gathered five types of moss from the forests of Austria, my home, my roots, the place where I belong. I sealed them inside a plexiglass case, a fragile attempt to preserve the scent of damp earth, the quiet isolation of the woods, the lush green of the undergrowth.

I brought them to Milan, where they lived for a year. But nature does not stay still. The moss gradually disappeared. In its place, new plants emerged, small organisms took over, even insects found their way inside.

What was once a frozen memory became a living transformation.
